We’re looking for a Product Designer to help Motion build the next generation of the business platform revolution. Working from our office in Paris, France and New York, USA, you will be a core part of the initial local core team that design and develop Motion Platform, products and solutions. From proposing initial concepts to ensuring we deliver high-quality features.
About the Role
As a Product Designer you will be responsible for making the products that thousands of people use every day. As a Product Designer, you will ensure our products and features are valuable for people, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills. This role will challenge you to innovate with product experiences powered by Machine Learning technologies — a process that encompasses ideation, prototyping, iterations, presentations, testing, interviews, analysis and much more. But this isn’t just a challenge; it’s also an opportunity to play an integral role at Motion Platform, communicating the product to the necessary audiences within the company, at tech conferences and events.
What you'll do:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The Product Designer must be fluent in French and English - bilingual (able to lead and manage local and global teams and communicate in English and French with virtual teams from different locations).
Compensation:
Full time or Authorized Contract - Based on experience

What you'll do:
- Lead and oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategists
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our global platform users
- Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Motion products
- Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for our supported platforms
- Define, craft and evolve designs within visual systems and/or standards
- Proactively solicit and provide feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship
- 4+ years of experience building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features/products that encompass an end-to-end experience across a variety of platforms
- Interaction Designs skills defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs, plus consideration of how this innovation will scale. Experience using prototyping skills to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work
- Visual Design skills with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense and how these elements impact product function
- Experience leading product direction and strategic thinking while developing product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company
- Experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts
- Experience showcasing your end-to-end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Experience connecting your work with other cross-product initiatives within the company to drive collaboration
- Design beautiful, simple, innovative, and intuitive experiences and flows
- Identify the needs of Motion's customers/users and improve on existing features
- Help define the short and long-term roadmap for your product area(s)
- Regularly give and receive feedback on designs and strategic product decisions
- Conceive innovative new features and pitch those concepts directly to Motion's Leadership Team
- Be a leader - Motion is a customer-centric design-led company and as a member of the Design Team you will be expected to lead projects and teams
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. You’ll be expected to clearly communicate design decisions to leadership, the rest of the team, and to engineers
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong visual design skills and passion for interaction design
- Ability to prototype interactive mobile experiences
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy
- Capable of acting as a Product Manager when needed
- Strong visual design skills and passion for interaction design
- A creative thinker who has lots of ideas and sees solutions when most would not
- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment
- A passion for Motion Platform products
