Podcast Series:
“The Convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT)”
The Internet of Things promises to connect all of our digital devices into a global network of data and connections. Much has been written about this technology’s commercial impact in business-to-business transactions, as well as in manufacturing. Additionally, the IoT will touch consumers’ lives every day. Add to IoT developments in artificial intelligence, and it is clear that IoT is a “big thing” coming upon us quickly. Quite a few technology pundits are predicting that the convergence of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence will replace many jobs formerly done by people. And it is estimated that this will start to happen within 10-15 years.
There’s a lot of hype surrounding this prospect, roughly equivalent to what we saw on the internet and mobile phones back in 1999. We cut through the noise and hype to deliver you an incisive conversation about where the technology is today, and where we see it headed over the next decade.
This is either a very exciting prospect or a scary one, but no matter what your reaction, it is critical that you become informed about what will be one of the major changes in our lives in the coming years.
